SPECIAL THANKS
TO MY PUBLISHER
PUBLISHAMERICA
God had a wonderful message of hope to get out to the people of the world, and He chose me to be His secretary. Even though I had never written a book before in my life, and knew nothing about the publishing world, I said, "Yes Lord". When His great message had finally been typed into book form, it was then my job to do the foot work and try to find someone to publish the book for me. Not even knowing where to start, still I said, "Yes Lord". I went on the internet and immediately found many publisher who were willing to publish my book, but for a cost, and the cost of some were substantual. I checked many of the other publishers but found that most weren't accepting any new authors, and others were only dealing with agents.
I proceeded then to look for an agent, and found that a lot of the agents weren't accepting any new authors also. Finally, I found a list of agents on the internet, but before I could contact any of them, I also found an "Authors Beware" website and immediately checked it out. There were an awful lot of important warnings about publishers and agents, and all of a sudden I found myself entering into a world which held dishonest foes of both publishers and agents, and was very sadden and disappointed. Of all of the warnings, I held onto the one that I felt was the most important, "A fee is a fee is a fee, and that everyone involved in the publication of a book should all get paid at the same time; and that's when a book was sold. If my books doesn't sell, then no one gets paid. I was also warned that if I paid money up front, then the agents and publishers would not work as hard to sell my book, the book which carried God's message, because they would have already made money off my literary works. This made sense to me. So, with patience, I continued to look and search and search and look.
Many times I wondered if I would ever get my book published, and get God's wonderful message out to the people. Feeling hopeless and lost, in what was for me the unknown and unfamiliar world of literary, many days I was so tempted to take up one of the self publishing offers. But a soft sweet voice whispered into my ear, into my heart, and into my soul, saying, "Don't give up, I'm with you always, and it shall be done". I said, "Yes Lord". Shortly after one of the many encouraging and reassuring conversations with God, I finally found Publish America. After visiting their website and reading their promise that not a penny would be asked of me to have them publish my book, I immediately submitted my manuscript to them, and jumped for joy when they too said, "Yes Lord".
Working with them on my first book I have met many wonderful people in their organization. To mention a few, there was Heather, who so brilliantly and patiently did the editing for my first book, and there were also Jeni, Sarah, Shawn, the magnificent Anthony, who designed the wonderful book cover which illustrated the contents of my book perfectly; also there were Kate, Christina, Patrice, Megan, and Lili, and they all worked together as one big family. I am so happy to say that they have all now made me feel like a welcomed member of their wonderful family. They are now working on my second book of the "Jennifer Answorth" series, and have also accepted my first book of poetry, entitled "The Poems of Life".
I am a true believer that because of the fact that I said, "Yes Lord", and because of the fact that PublishAmerica said, "Yes Lord", He in return will say to us, "Yes Mildred, and Yes Publish America". I have read on the internet where many have put down PublishAmerica, with their negative comments. Please allow me to say that as far as I'm concern, there's no greater publisher than PublishAmerica. The one thing that sets them apart from all the others that I contacted, is the fact that they said "Yes" to me, and more importantly they said "Yes" to God. God's message is out now, all over the world; and His great message is, "There is indeed hope for the hopeless, and uplifting for the downtrodden"!
