"A WOMAN'S PURSE"
![]()
The inside of most women’s purses are a collection of things that are important, things that were important, things that could be important, things that prevented littering, things that she needs, things that she did need, things that she might need; and sometimes things that she will never need again; and then there are the forgotten things. The things that lie untouched in the bottom or side pocket of her purse that are looked over, passed over, but somehow manages to remained tucked away in her purse until one day it is remembered.
"A Woman's Purse" is a collection of five such stories that will bring you to tears of laughter, tears of sadness, and tears of joy, while keeping you on the edge of your seats! Open the purses of these five women, and enter into five different worlds of drama!
“THE LOTTO TICKET”,

Our first story is about the important things that were found and that were not found in the purse of a young single mother, a welfare recipient, Martha Matheson.
“THE LETTER FROM HER LOVER”
Time and time, again and again, many of us have witnessed women whether they’re our mothers, sisters, or even wives, who have picked up her mail from the mail box, glanced over a particular envelope ,and then stuffed it into her purse to read later. Our next story is about such a woman who did just that; however, later turned out to be much longer than she had ever anticipated.
“THE SEARCH FOR ANTHONY WHITCOME”

You know, some of the things that can be found in a woman’s purse which she will never need, are sometimes put there by someone other than herself. Like the woman in our next story, Amelia Rodriguez, the Hispanic woman who faithfully woke up early every Saturday and Sunday morning; and after picking up her very best friend, Natalie Brown, an African American, they hopped into the car and followed the directions of every “Yard Sale” sign they found! The two women were firm believers that one man’s junk was another man’s treasure; and they went treasure hunting each and every weekend without fail!. Until the weekend Amelia found a dynamite deal on a purse, purchased it, and then discovered inside a letter outlining the plot to kill a man who was a total stranger to her and her friend! When the local police seemed disinterested in Amelia's find, she and her friend, Natalie, personally took it upon themselves to become superhero women to the rescue, and prevent the murder from occurring!
"JANET WORTHINGTON"
“ILLUSIONS”
Anna Franklin is a woman who has been carrying something around in her purse for the longest; something that she will never, ever, need again! “Illusions", which is an appearance or feeling that misleads because it is not real; thing that deceives by giving a false idea. Justice is a precious thing for all living human being, and because of a forgotten item found in the bottom of Anna Franklin's purse, justice was indeed rendered.

THE TRASH IS"

A story about a young man and his friends who are suffering horribly, from the experience of going through the adolescent stage of their lives! The period of time in their lives, when for the first time, they become totally confused and dumbfounded about who they are... what they are... and what's expected of them at this age!
They deal with the problem of no longer being a carefree child...and yet, still not being an adult with authority, and still is expected to follow the rules of their home, which by the way, they really don't feel is no longer their home, anyway!
They know that deep down inside, they love their parents; but sadly, just can't seem to figure out the best way of expressing that love! A story about adolescents being affected terribly, by the horrific decisions and actions made by some of their other adolescent friends and acquaintances!

A story about the parents of the adolescents teenagers, who are
trying desperately hard, to find a common bond and common grounds
with their problemed and confused
teenage children, without going stone cold mad!
A story about a constant fight of survival and a tug of war, between
the guardian angles of the family and the demons who are trying so hard
to possess them!

A story about a group of people who find they have come together to make
up a family, who now hardly knows if they should give up and stop, be
determined and continue to go forward, or move very cautiously because
they don't want to say or do anything that may just push one of the
family members over the edge!

Here's an excert from the book:
Around here, every day is dooms day, and dooms day is trash day; but since the trashman comes only once a week, and when he do comes he don't pick up the most bothersome trash of all, it just down right stinks around here! The sad thing is, of all of the cleaning products and air refreshers being sold on the market and in the stores today, and of all of the psychiatrists and preachers practicing and preaching in this town, this family still hasn't come up with a way to get rid of the foul spelling trash odor that's up in here within our home!
